Affordable and Clean Energy
Clean Volt is a Sustainable Agenda Promotion (SAP 17) initiative dedicated to promoting awareness, skills, innovation and entrepreneurship around clean, affordable and sustainable energy. It recognizes that reliable energy is essential for education, healthcare, communication, businesses, agriculture, manufacturing and everyday life, while the transition toward cleaner energy can also create new opportunities for employment, innovation and enterprise.
Across many communities, particularly underserved communities, people and businesses face challenges such as limited access to reliable electricity, high energy costs, inefficient energy use and limited knowledge of alternative energy solutions. Clean Volt seeks to turn these challenges into opportunities by helping people understand clean-energy technologies, develop practical skills and participate in the emerging green economy.
From Energy Awareness to Opportunity
Clean Volt is designed to make clean energy more than an environmental conversation. It seeks to help people understand energy, develop relevant skills, identify opportunities and participate in solutions. Through workshops, educational campaigns, demonstrations, innovation activities, mentorship, research and partnerships, participants can explore how clean energy can be applied to real community needs. The program also encourages young people to view the green transition as an opportunity to become learners, technicians, entrepreneurs, innovators, researchers and community leaders.
Key Areas of Action
Renewable Energy Awareness
Increasing public understanding of renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, hydro and other sustainable energy technologies. The program helps communities understand how clean energy can support households, businesses, institutions and community development.
Solar Skills & Practical Learning
Encouraging young people and interested community members to learn practical solar-energy concepts and skills. Training and demonstrations can introduce participants to areas such as solar system components, energy use, basic system planning, maintenance awareness and responsible application.
Energy Efficiency
Promoting smarter and more responsible energy consumption. Clean Volt encourages households, businesses and institutions to understand energy efficiency, reduce unnecessary energy use and explore practices and technologies that can improve energy performance.
Green Entrepreneurship
Connecting clean-energy knowledge with economic opportunity. Participants can explore opportunities to develop businesses and services around renewable energy, energy efficiency, sustainable products, installation support, maintenance, education and other emerging green-economy activities.
Clean-Energy Innovation
Encouraging individuals, students, entrepreneurs, researchers and technology developers to identify energy challenges and develop practical solutions. Clean Volt provides a platform for ideas, experimentation, research, collaboration and innovation that can contribute to a cleaner and more accessible energy future.
