Decent Work and Economic Growth
Production Assistant is a flagship economic empowerment initiative of Sustainable Agenda Promotion (SAP 17) focused on helping young people and vulnerable populations develop practical skills, create productive enterprises and access meaningful economic opportunities. It recognizes that sustainable development requires people to have opportunities not only to find work, but also to develop their productive capacity, build businesses and participate confidently in the economy.
For many young people, the challenge is not a lack of ambition but limited access to practical skills, career guidance, business knowledge, mentorship, networks and opportunities. Production Assistant seeks to bridge these gaps by connecting learning with employability, entrepreneurship and economic participation.
From Skills to Economic Participation
Production Assistant is designed to move beyond training alone. Its objective is to help participants understand how knowledge and skills can be transformed into productive opportunities. Through training, mentorship, enterprise development, career support, networking, innovation activities and partnerships, participants can explore different pathways into the economy -- as employees, entrepreneurs, skilled professionals, producers, service providers, innovators or community-based economic contributors.
The program also encourages participants to recognize that decent work includes fairness, dignity, productivity, opportunity, responsibility and the ability to contribute meaningfully to society.
Key Areas of Action
Entrepreneurship
Encouraging participants to identify problems, opportunities and market needs that can become viable business ideas. The program promotes entrepreneurial thinking, creativity, responsible enterprise and the confidence to develop productive ventures.
Vocational & Practical Skills
Supporting practical skills development that can improve employability and create pathways into self-employment. Participants can explore technical, vocational, digital, creative and other practical skills relevant to their communities and emerging industries.
Business Development
Helping aspiring and existing entrepreneurs understand the fundamentals of establishing and strengthening an enterprise. Areas may include business planning, customer identification, marketing, financial management, product development, record keeping and business growth.
Career Readiness
Preparing young people for participation in the world of work through career awareness, workplace skills, communication, professional development, CV preparation, interview readiness, networking and continuous learning.
Youth Employment Advocacy
Promoting greater awareness of youth employment challenges and encouraging institutions, businesses, governments and development partners to create more inclusive economic opportunities for young people.

Our Goal
