Partnerships for the Goals
Goals Net is the connecting platform of Sustainable Agenda Promotion (SAP 17), designed to bring together people, organizations, institutions and resources to accelerate practical progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals. It recognizes that no individual, community, organization or institution can address Africa's development challenges alone. Meaningful and lasting progress requires partnership, collaboration, knowledge, resources and coordinated action.
Goals Net creates opportunities for young people, communities, governments, businesses, NGOs, researchers, universities, development organizations, professional institutions and other stakeholders to connect around shared development priorities and transform common goals into practical initiatives.
From Connection to Collective Impact
Goals Net is designed to make partnership a practical development tool. It provides a space where people can identify common interests, discover potential partners, exchange knowledge, develop project concepts and coordinate action.
A community with a development challenge may need research support. A researcher may need a real-world environment to test an idea. A business may have technology or resources. A university may have expertise. A youth organization may have motivated participants. A development organization may have experience and networks. Goals Net seeks to help connect these complementary strengths so that they can produce greater collective impact.
Key Areas of Action
SDG Partnerships
Encouraging organizations and institutions with complementary skills, resources and interests to work together on sustainable development initiatives. Partnerships can connect communities with technical expertise, businesses with social-development opportunities, researchers with practical challenges and organizations with implementation partners.
Youth Networks
Connecting young people and youth-led organizations interested in sustainable development, innovation, leadership, entrepreneurship and community action. Youth networks can provide opportunities for learning, collaboration, mentorship and joint initiatives across communities and countries.
Resource Mobilization
Helping connect development ideas and initiatives with potential sources of financial, technical, human, institutional and material support. The objective is to strengthen the capacity of communities and organizations to turn meaningful ideas into practical projects.
Knowledge Sharing
Creating opportunities for participants to exchange research, experiences, technologies, lessons learned, tools, ideas and practical solutions. Knowledge sharing can help communities and organizations learn from one another rather than repeatedly solving the same challenges independently.
Joint Projects
Encouraging partners to move from conversation to collaborative implementation. Joint projects may involve research, education, innovation, environmental action, community development, entrepreneurship or other activities connected to the SDGs.
Africa SDG Forums
Creating spaces where young people, institutions, organizations and development stakeholders can discuss progress, challenges, opportunities and practical approaches to advancing the SDGs across Africa.

Our Goal
Goals Net seeks to build a stronger ecosystem of cooperation around sustainable development -- one where people and institutions can find partners, exchange knowledge, mobilize resources and work together on practical solutions.
As the partnership component of SAP 17, Goals Net also connects the other SAP initiatives, creating opportunities for collaboration across poverty reduction, food security, health, education, gender equality, water, energy, employment, innovation, inclusion, sustainable communities, responsible consumption, climate action and environmental conservation. By strengthening partnerships and collective action, Goals Net contributes directly to SDG 17 -- Partnerships for the Goals and supports the broader realization of the entire 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda.
